Clifford Lee Carey, age 88, of Bedford, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, January 17, 2022 at his residence. Born October 3, 1933 in Gilmore, Arkansas, he was the son of Jessie Calvin and Katie Inez (Pendergrass) Carey.
Mr. Carey was a machinist and the owner/operator of Bedford Machine. He was a member of Hickory Grove United Methodist Church, the American Legion, and a former member of the Bedford Rotary Club. He enjoyed woodworking, playing the organ, guitar and bass guitar, singing, working on cars, fishing, farming and spending time with his family.
Survivors include two daughters: Janet Medel and her husband, Darryl of Taylor, Michigan and Theresa Rhea of Bedford; two sons: Dennis Masterson and his wife, Debbie of Madison, Indiana and David Masterson of Bedford; two sisters: Mary Stephen and Bertha Cecil, both of Taylor, Michigan; nine grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and one son-in-law, Larry Cann of Fort Meyers, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, the former Rosalie King on February 12, 2020; one daughter, Diane Cann; two brothers: Jessie Carey and Ellie Carey; and one grandson, Brandon Medel.
The Reverend Jacob Nyman will conduct the funeral services .
