Mrs. Mary E. Landrith

"Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, November 3 at the Sperry Funeral Home in Altamont for Mrs. Mary E. Landrith, 86, who died early Friday, October 31, 1974, at a Chetopa nursing home.
Mrs. Landrith was born on August 15, 1888, near Bartlett, the daughter of Luther and Minnie Pickering. She and Claude Landrith were united in marriage on January 7, 1914, at Oswego. He died on February 8, 1962.
She was a member of the Bartlett Presbyterian Church and a former member of the WWW Extension Unit.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Louise Peters, Chetopa; a son, Clifford Landrith, Bartlett; seven grandchildren; and a brother, Wayne Pickering, Bartlett.
Rev. Dr. Alfred Spotts, pastor of the Oswego United Presbyterian Church, conducted the fuineral service.
Mrs. George Paine sang "Sweet Hopur of Prayer" and "How Great Thou Art". She was accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Lee Beran.
Burial followed in the Lake Creek Cemetery at Bartlett.
The Sperry Funeral Home of Chetopa was in charge of all arrangements."
