Mrs. Christina Mattingly, 83, died yesterday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Teresa Bittenger. A daughter of the late Nelson and Elizabeth (Eckard) McGettigan, she was born June 22, 1876 in Garrett County. Mrs. Mattingly was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church and the Sodality of the Church. She is also survived by two other daughters, Mrs. Irene Johnson, Youngstown, Ohio and Mrs. Kathryn Carroll, Uniontown, Pennsylvania; two sons, Owen Mattingly, Swanton and William Mattingly of here; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A requiem mass will be celebrated at 9:30 AM at the St. Peter's Church by Rev. Michael Carney, Pastor. Burial will be in the Hoyes Catholic Cemetery. The body is at the Bittinger residence.
