Newton Moreland of Waterville Dies - Newton Moreland, 52, of Waterville, died this morning in a Wenatchee hospital where he had been ill only one week.

Mr. Moreland was born February 8, 1883 in Illinois. For the past 22 years, he had been an engineer for the Waterville railroad at Waterville and prior to his residence there ahd lived at St. Andrews.

Surviving are his widow, Flo Moreland, two daughters, Mrs. Magnetta Bond of Seattle and Miss Celia Moreland of Waterville, one son, Lloyd Moreland of Waterville; two sisters, Mrs. Elma Threw and Mrs. Libby Oldhorn, both of Spokane; and six brothers, Frank Moreland of Lockford, Washington, G. W. Moreland of Bement, Illinois, Edward, Melvin, and Raid Moreland of Spokane and Herschel Moreland of Dapp, Alberta, Canada.

The body is at Jones and Jones awaiting funeral arrangements.

Moreland Services - Funeral services for Newton Moreland, 52, of Waterville, will be held from the Federat church in Waterville Monday at 2 pm with the Reverend E. L. Kechley of Wenatchee offficiating and Jones and Jones in charge. Interment will be in the Waterville cemetery.
