Clyde Byrd Allison, 62, of 3725 Happy Horse Lane, Lenoir died Thursday, April 27, 2006 at Autumn Care in Drexel, NC.

He was born October 12, 1943, in McDowell County to the late William McKinley Allison and Nora Lee Robinson Allison.

He was a member of East Hudson Baptist Church and was a retired textile worker.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Joyce Berry and Pauline Byrd.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia Illene Matheson Allison of the home; a step-daughter, Cathy Rash of Lenoir; three sisters, Mabel Frizsell of Granite Falls, Molly Frizsell of Rutherford College and Gladys Hennings of Phoenix, Arizona; seven brothers, James, Tommy, Leslie, Ray, and Junior Allison, all of Old Fort, Bill Allison of Granite Falls, and William Allison of California; eight step-grandchildren and eight step-great-grandchildren.

Burial was in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
