Mable Allison Frizsell
Granite Falls, N.C.- Mrs. Mable A. Frizsell, 88, of Gentry Circle in Granite Falls, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Nov. 9, 2008, at Valdese Hospital.
She was born Oct. 22, 1920, to the late Will and Nora Allison in McDowell County.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Frizsell; son, Phil White; daughter, Shirley Blanchard; infant daughter, Frances; granddaughter, Krystal White; great-grandsons, Brandon White and Christian Bollinger; sisters, Pauline Byrd, Joyce Berry and Gladys Hennings; and brother, Clyde Allison. Mrs. Frizsell was a member of Northside Baptist Church and a homemaker.
Survivors include her sons, Doug White and wife, Carolyn, of Hickory and Ed Frizsell of the home; daughters, Wanda Marley and husband, Larry, and Luci Smith and husband, Tim, all of Granite Falls; grandsons, Tim White and wife, Sandra, Mark White and wife, Pam, Scott White and wife, Melissa, Chad Marley and wife, Terrie, Jason Hollars and wife, Misty, and Kevin Marley and wife, Amanda; granddaughter, Jada White; great-grandchildren, Ryan White, Kristen White and Garren White; sister, Molly Frizsell of Rutherford College; brothers, James, Junior Tom, Ray and Leslie Allison, all of Old Fort, Bill Allison of Granite Falls and William Allison of California; and a number of wonderful nieces, nephews and friends.
Mable was a wonderful mother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be greatly missed by everyone. She believed in the Lord and had lots of faith.
"Mother, we will always love you and you will always be in our hearts and thoughts. Our hearts are heavy, but we know you are with the Lord in Heaven and with all of your loved ones holding hands on the streets of gold and waiting by the river for us."
Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
