Mrs. House was the first and
for some years the only person
of religion in this town. In Oct.
1811 she with nine others were
organized into a church and she
lived to see more than 170 per-
sons added to this number.
My spirit looks to God in love
My rock and refuge in his throne
In all my fears in willing straits
My soul on his Salvation waits
