Mrs. Carrie A. Smith, 77, died at her home 4 1/2 miles northeast of Carthage. She was a member of the Methodist Church, the W.C.T.U. and the W.R.C.
She was the daughter of Merritt Alling and Joanna Smith. She was married May 15, 1864 to Alfred S. Smith in Warren County, NY. She is survived by two daughters, Mertie Smith and Mrs. Luther Daniel. A brother, Ed Alling, resides in PA.
Burial will be in the family lot in Park Cemetery.
