Ida Mary [Graeve]Gatley was my great aunt and was born August 16,1900 in Philadelphia, Pa. She is the daughter of John Martin Graeve and Mary Jane[Bradley]Graeve. She is the sister of Mary,Harry,Catherine,Annie,Peter,Frances and Edward. She married Thomas Charles Gatley on October 5th,1927 at St Clements Catholic Church in Philadelphia.She is the mother of Claire,Doris,Marian and James.
My aunt moved to many places with her family and then as the WW2 was ending she and her family moved to Norfolk ,Va. where my great uncle Tom began working for the US Army at Fort Norfolk,Va.
Aunt Ida and her family lived in Alexandria,Va in the Washington suburbs until her husband Tom passed away in 1980,my great aunt then lived with her daughter Doris until her own death in June 1,1985 in Arlington Va. She is buried at the Fairfax Memorial Pakr in Fairfax,Va.
I believe my great aunt died from results from a stroke at age 84.
My great aunt had three grandchildren Ann,Susan and Sarah and many great grandchildren Thomas,Huge,Piper,Jacob,Margaret,Elizabeth and Andrew.
My mother Ida Mary Logan was named after her aunt.
