My grandmother, known as Mame, was born in Philadelphia, Pa on August 31, 1883. She was born to Mary Jane {Bradley] and John Graeve, the first born of 8 brothers and sisters. Her siblings are Harry,Catherine,Peter,Anna,Frances,Edward and Ida. She married Archibald Campbell and they had four children, John, Rebecca, Archibald and [Ida ,my mother]. She was a fiesty lady and took no nonesense from anyone. She moved to Oklahoma in 1974 with my mother Ida and my dad. She lived there for two years when she passed away on Nov 8th, 1976 from a stroke. She is buried in Beverly National Cemetery in Beverly, NJ along with my grandfather Archibald. She was the grandmother of Alfred, Robert, John, Thomas, Diane, Dolores, Lois, Louis, Jerry, Jacqueline, Archibald the 4th, Joanie and Bonnie and many great and great great grandchildren. I want to thank everyone who leaves a flower or note at my grandmothers site, God Bless you.She was 93 years old at the time of her death. I would like to mention that my grandmothers father John Graeves was in the army during the time of Little Big Horn, he was suppose to go that day with Custer but I think he was discharged from the army . I know my great grandfather had nothing against the Indians and was happy he did not have to go for he believed all men and women are created equal and I am very proud that he felt that way.
