Mrs. Gloria Fussell Finn, 89, died Saturday morning (November 22, 2014) at the Baptist Village Retirement Communities following a brief illness.
She was a lifelong resident of Waycross and a member of First Christian Church. She was a longtime office manager with Gaston's Photo Finishing before retiring from Finn Brothers Brake Service years later. She was also an avid quilter and loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Mrs. Finn was a daughter to the late Walter J. Fussell and Sarah Saturday Fussell. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Leon Fussell of Ider, AL and Tollie Fussell of Garden City, GA.
She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Robert A. Finn, Sr. of Waycross; three daughters, Elaine Moody (husband David) of Hoboken, Carol Richardson (husband Vince) of Waycross, and Patty Westberry (husband Ron) of Waycross; one son, Andy Finn (wife Patty) of Waycross; a sister, Fleeta Todd of Anniston, AL; eight grandchildren, David W. Moody, Jr., Brian Moody, Joy Matthews, Ryan Richardson, Eric Westberry, Shannon Westberry, Nathan Finn, and Patrick Finn; 14 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday (November 25, 2014) at First Christian Church. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends Monday evening at Music Funeral Home from 6 until 8 o'clock.
