Anna was Joseph's second wife. His first wife, Jemima died in 1796, leaving Joseph with 2 motherless children, Joseph & Miriam. Anna raised them along with her own children.
Anna and Joseph lived on a farm in Oxford, MA. Joseph purchased the 100 acres of land in 1791 from Ebenezer Davis, who may have been related to Anna (needs investigation). Joseph and Anna remained on the farm for the rest of their lives. The most picturesque spot in the town of Oxford is on this farm a short distance west of the house, where the stream comes down through a rocky gorge in a series of cascades, specially beautiful at high water in the spring.
Anna's Father: Walter Davis, of Newburryport, Essex, MA.
Anna's Mother: Sarah Hammond, b. 15 Feb 1728
