"Be it known that on February 28th, 1847 a Marriage License issued to ARCHIBALD C. SMOCK and HANNAH MOORE both of Marion County, Indiana, he being of lawful age, also written consent of his mother RACHEL SMOCK given and the verbal consent of her father, CHARLES MOORE given, which license is as follows: The State of Indiana, Marion County. To any person authorized by law to solemnize Marriage in the County of Marion: Greeting. You are hereby authorized to join together as husband and wife Mr. Archibald C. Smock and Miss Hannah Moore according to the laws of the State of Indiana and of the same make due when withing this month.
In testimony whereof, I Robert B. Duncan, Clerk of the Circuit Court of said County, hereunto subscribe my name at Indianapolis, this 28th day of February, 1842. R. B. Duncan
The marriage of wherin? is thus Certified with State of Indiana Marion County ss. Marriage was duly solemnized between Archibald C. Smock and Hannah Moore both of the above County on the third day of March 1842, by me Sayers Barclay, Minister of the Gospel
