BLACKVILLE, S.C. - Eugene Ussery, 90, of 408 Reynolds St., died Monday in Barnwell County Hospital. The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. today at Folk Funeral Home, Williston, with the Revs. Thomas Terry and Alfred Still officiating. Burial will be in Blackville Cemetery with Masonic rites. Mr. Ussery was a native of Blackville. He was a retired master electrician and owner-operator of Ussery's Dry Goods Store with 30 years of service. He was a member and inactive deacon of Blackville First Baptist Church, a lifetime member of Blackville Masonic Lodge No. 63, a 32nd degree Mason of Solomon's Lodge of Alee Shrine Temple, both of Savannah, and woodmen of the World. Survivors include his wife, Ernell Wilson Ussery; a daughter, Grace U. Floyd, Savannah; five stepdaughters, Mildred Young and Barbara Anne Still, Blackville; Grace Gibson, Cayce; Helen Young, Springfield; and Natalie Padgett, Bamburg;, two sons, Burnice E. Ussery, New Ellenton, and Jack Wayne Ussery, Blackville; a sister, Christine U. Wolfe, Orangeburg; and three brothers, Wyman H. Ussery, North Augusta, James Ussery, Augusta, and Rev. Willie M. Ussery, Seymour, Tenn. Grandsons will be pallbearers.
