Mr. Ussery, husband of Irene Moore Ussery, died Tuesday.
Born in Eastman, Ga., he was a son of the late Eugene and Mabie Ussery.
He was a World War II Army veteran and a member of Corinth Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife; son, Wayne Ussery; daughter, Bernice Ussery; brother, Jack Ussery; sister, Grace Floyd; a grandchild; two great-grandchildren.

Mr. Burnis Eugene ''B.E.'' Ussery, 85, died Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2001, at Pepperhill Nursing Home, Aiken.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at George Funeral Home, Whiskey Road, with the Rev. Brancie Stephens officiating. Burial will be in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Ussery, a native of Eastman, Ga., was an Army veteran of World War II, had retired as a patrolman from DuPont after 29 years and was a former volunteer firefighter for New Ellenton Fire Department.
He was a member of South Carolina Law Enforcement Officers Association and Corinth Baptist Church.
The family said: ''He was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan. He was one of the first volunteer firefighters at New Ellenton Fire Department.''
Survivors include his wife, Irene Moore Ussery; a son, Wayne Ussery, Aiken; a daughter, Bernice Ussery, Aiken; a brother, Jack Ussery, Blackville; a sister, Grace Floyd, Savannah; and a grandchild and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Michael Floyd, Newton Floyd, Eddie Moore, Brad Moore, Tab Moore and Harold Key.
