The funeral service was held on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. in Viking Lutheran Church for Gustav Hvinden, 80, Heimdal, who died Sunday in a Maddock hospital. Rev. E. A. Stousland officiated and burial was in the church cemetery in block 3 plot 59. Wheeler Funeral Home of Maddock was in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers for the service were Art Gunderson, Orville Vinnard, Gordon Lynne, Hjalmer Nelson, Harley Vinnard and Art Nelson. Mrs. Millard Kolsrud was the organist and accompanied Mrs. Oscar Gilbertson, soloist, along with Mrs. Clarence Nelson and her son, Gary, sang a duet. Mr. Hvinden was born on 21 Sep 1885 at Spring Grove, MN. In the late 1880's he came with his parents to a farm in Wells County where he had resided since. Surviving are five nieces and five nephews. He was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers.
