My great, grandfather's, Cassian Andrews (1854-1911), farm in South Dakota real estate ad (see photo). Circa 1906. Story behind it is: They had settled the land in 1894 with guidelines of The Homestead Act 1862. In 1907 he sold it and he, his wife Sarah Ingalls, and 6 children (of one being my grandmother, Marillla Andrews (1903-1983) traveled by covered wagons and bought a 300 acre tobacco farm in Clements, St. Mary's Co. Maryland. After four years, Cassian died and the family sold it and bought a 100 acre farm on Le Comptes Bay in Dorchester Co., Maryland tract known as "Little Horn's Point". In 1914, Annie Oakley and husband Frank Butler came to Cambridge, Maryland to live and they became friends them and had often visited each other. Nov. 2011 J. Guy George
