Souderton Independent, 2/2/1923:

Elias B. Heller, well known and highly respected citizen of Souderton, died early yesterday (Thursday) morning, after suffering about four days with the grippe. Aged 67 years, 9 months and 24 days. Mr. Heller was born in Bucks county and lived for many years in Milford Square, later coming to Souderton. He was the son of the late Elias and Sophia (Barndt) Heller. He is survived by his widow, Maria, who was a wife of the late Samuel W. Kratz and previously of the late Mr. Heimbach. Five children also survive, being from the union of Mr. Heller and his first wife, whose maiden name was Lydia Benner, as follows: Mary, wife of Elmer Linsenbigler of Milford Square; Emma, wife of Henry S. Hallman, proprietor of the Franconia creamery, west of Souderton; Ida, wife of Henry Harwick of Mountainville; Carrie, wife of Herbert Diehl of Quakertown; Katie of Norristown. Three sisters also survive—Mrs. Harry Schilling of Quakertown; Mrs. Louis Taylor and Mrs. Catherine Huttle of Richlandtown. The funeral will be held from his late residence, No. 54 Hillside avenue, Souderton, Monday afternoon, at 12:45 o'clock. Further services will be held at Emmanuel Lutheran church, of which congregation he was a faithful member, at 1:30 o'clock. Interment will be made at Trumbauersville cemetery. Funeral Director Wesley J. Moyer of Souderton is in charge.
