Rebecca Colguhoun/Calhoun Barr was born in Ireland. Although it is not yet known when she arrived in Philadelphia, she married William Barr on 19 February 1839 at the 9th Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia. Their children included Mary, William, Alexander C., John A., Robert C., and Rebecca C.
It is believed that David Calhoun of Philadelphia (1808-1884) was her brother since her address at 602 S. 15th Street is given on David Calhoun's death certificate. And, in the 1880 Census, said David is living with "brother" John Calhoun (1813-1883). And so, it would appear that all three are siblings----John, David, and Rebecca.
