VALLEY --- Mrs. Josie C. Hudmon, 87, of Valley died Thursday, Sept 12, 1996, at George H. Lanier Memorial Hospital in Valley.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 14 at 2 p.m. at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral HOme Chapel in Valley with the Rev.Jim McCullough officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Lanett.

Mrs. Hudmon is survived by her daughter, Annie H. Edge of Valley; her son, John w. Hudmon of Valley; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Born Sept. 30, 1908, in Mississippi, Mrs. Hudmon was a member of Grace Baptist church in Valley. She had lived in the Valley area most of her life. Mrs. Hudmon was a retired employee of WestPoint Pepperell's Fairfax Mill, with more than 25 years of service. She was an avid quilter.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Grace Baptist Church in memory of Mrs. Hudmon.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral home in Valley.
