James Robert Bauman, 73, farmer of R.R. 1, Centerville passed away today, May 20, at 1 a. m. at his home. He had been ill for the past two years. He was born October 29, 1889, in Caldwell township, and was the son of William and Laura Hileman Bauman. On October 28, 1914 he was married to Grace Fry, south of Centerville. He lived his entire life in Calwell township. He was a member of the First Methodist Church in Centerville.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by two sons. Harold and Alfred, both of rural route Centerville: two daughters, Ruth Gillispie of Villisen, Iowa, and Raye Bergstrom of Red Oak: eight grandchildren, a brother, Ross, of Almate, Mich, and two sisters, Mrs. R. I. Elledge of Centerville and Mrs. C. R. Drake of Centerville, Route 1.
The body is at the Miller-Wehrle Funeral Home and funeral arrangements are pending.
