Agness Ann Clark was born August 29, 1858, in Madison county, Arkansas. She was united in marriage with Thomas Nathaniel Mitchell April 16, 1876. To this union eight children were born, two daughters and six sons.
In 1892 the family moved to Osage and lived there nine years. In 1901 they moved to the present home where Mrs. Mitchell lived until the time of her passing. She was converted in the Primitive Baptist church. She was preceded in death by her husband and four sons, an infant, Robert, James and Nat.
Survivors include four children: Mrs. Dora Squyres of Hamilton, George of Ryan, Oklahoma; Walter and Miss Bessie Mitchell of Levita; sixteen grandchildren, and twenty-one great grandchildren.
