George Otwell Blankenship, 88, of Cowden, died Monday (Sept. 20, 1999) in Olivewood Health Care Center, Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday in Lockart and Sons Funeral Home, Cowden, with visitation one hour before services. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery, Cowden. Memorials may be given to First Christian Church of Cowden.
He was born July 11, 1911, in Fayette County, the son of George Oliver and Emma Jane Wehrle Blankenship. He married Bertha Tucker March 17, 1933, in Cowden, and she survives.
Also surviving are a brother, Dale Blankenship of Ramsey and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Blankenship was a member of First Christian Church, Cowden.
