"John Molyneux Alston, 82, 3113 South West Temple Street, a farmer and blacksmith, died in a local hospital Saturday following a short illness (Bronchial Pneumonia).
Born Dec. 24, 1855, at Southport, Lancashire, England, a son of James and Ann Molyneux Alston, he came to Salt Lake City 71 years ago and with the exception of a 16 year residence in Woods Cross, had lived here since. He was a member of the Church.
Mr. Alston is survived by a brother, Thomas Alston, and three sisters, Mrs. Marjorie Whiteley, Mrs. Mary Ann Garn and Mrs. Margaret Emma Howard all of Salt Lake City.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at the White Chapel Mortuary.

Funeral services for John M. Alston will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the White Chapel Mortuary, 124 Fourth East, Bishop Ezra P. Hatch of Woods Cross will officiate. Friends may call the mortuary prior to the services. Interment Wasatch Lawn Burial Park.
