Daughter of Emery H and Viola Pearl Walker Wilcox. She graduated from Davis H.S., attended Utah State Univ., and graduated from BAC with a major in vocal music. She was a member of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir at age 17 and sang opera in college. She married Dee Humphries Wilcken in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on June 26, 1946. She served in all the auxiliaries of the LDS church, including ward Relief Society President. She sang in the ward choir, Singing Mothers, and community choirs, taught vocal lessons, and participated in musical productions in Enoch, Cedar City, and Parowan. She served 5 missions with her husband in Kentucky, Australia, Texas, Samoa, and California, a mission as directors of the Regional Employment Center in Cedar City, and 7 years in the St. George LDS Temple. As a genealogist, she served as ward specialist, librarian, extraction worker, and director of the Extraction Center in Cedar City. She was predeceased by her parents; brothers, Larry (Lucille) and Melvin (Cora); sister, Eloise; son, Ted Howard (Ann); and great grandson, Spencer Dee. She is survived by her husband, Dee of Enoch; children, Bruce Jay (Louise) of Parowan, Gary Dee (Joyce) of Enoch, Annette (Floyd) Scott of Folsom, CA, Scott Lyle (Lori) of Lynndyl; daughter-in-law, Ann of Enoch; brothers, Hal (Vonnie) Wilcox of Clearfield, UT, and Dean (Barbara) Wilcox of Orem; sisters-in- law, Elaine Nelson of Enoch, and Dorothy Winberg, Ogden; 25 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren.
