Her birth name was Ida Ethel Bryson.

Her birth mother was Emily Jarman Saville, FAG memorial #87614696. Her birth father was John Bryson (b. 1858), death and burial unknown. I reviewed a newspaper article on Ida's adoption, it was dated August 19, 1887.

Ida wrote her life story and submitted it to the Church of Latter-Day Saints. Her published life story, and numerous family photos, are available for review on the FamilySearch.org website. The photos include a number of photos of her birth mother and her half siblings, Goldie and Rodney Weir Markley.
