He was born September 28, 1908 in Garfield, Jefferson County, Idaho, to Washington and Ida Hamilton Lemmon. At 10 years of age the family moved to Marysville, Idaho, later to Pocatello. He attended schools in Garfield, Marysville, Ashton and Pocatello. He held many jobs in the church including ward clerk, scout master, and stake clerk. Participated in many musical groups.He married Elda Green in the Logan Temple November 1932. They were later divorced. He married Mollie Cook in 1942 in Reno, Nevada. They moved to California, then to New York where he was employed by the Arabian American Oil Co., later by Columbia University at Dobbs Ferry. He attended university and colleges at New York Hudson College and Stevens Institute at Hoboken, New Jersey. Returned to SLC after his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mollie; his parents; one sister and four brothers. He is survived by one daughter, Beulah Dean Wardle, Desert Shores, Calif.; brothers, Eugene, Pocatello, Idaho; Byron, Bountiful; sisters, Florence Dabell, Rigby, Idaho; Lila Baldwin, Blackfoot, Idaho; Faye Lenahan, Seattle, Wash.; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held in the 21st Ward, Immigration Stake, K Street and 2nd Avenue, at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 17, 1995. Friends may call Monday at Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 Highland Drive from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Pocatello, Idaho following services. Funeral Directors, Cottonwood Mortuary.
