Lionel "Chic" Chicquette, 91, passed away at 11:55 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2009, at Champaign County Nursing Home, Urbana.

He was born in Red Wing, Minnesota to William and Anna Brevitz Chicquette. He married Carol Joyce Bellin on Aug. 28, 1944, in Two Rivers, Wisconsin. He later married Thelma Mae Dunlap on March 25, 1978, in Mahomet, Il. She passed away on Nov. 7, 2006.

Survivors include his children, Dean Chicquette of Auburn, Washington and Barbara Terrell of Coatesville, Indiana; stepchildren, Stephen Dunlap of Bogata, Colombia, Beverly Winters of Mahomet and Sandy Miller of Champaign and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by two stepsons, Wayne Dunlap and Don Dunlap; one brother, Winston Chicquette; two sisters, Billie Chicquette and Eleanor Hall; three grandsons and three great-grandsons.
