David Cornelius Huffstetler 75 of Stanley Rt 1 died at 12:05 at his home. He was known to his friends and acquaintances as Neal Huffstetler. He was the son of the late Eli Anderson Huffstetler and Fannie Litton.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Centerview Baptist Church with burial at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery Mount Holly. Officiating will be the Rev Louie Wynn pastor, the Rev R H Ratchford of Goshen Presbyterian Church and the Rev H C Meadows of Pentecostal Holiness Church, Stanley.
The body was taken from Carothers Funeral Home to the home on Tuesday and will lie in state at the church for one hour before the services. Pallbearers will be his nephews Belton and Marion Loftin, Clyde Huffstetler, Fred Rash, Glenn Beach, and Ralph Huffstetler.
Surviving Mr Huffstetler are his wife Lillie Rhodes Huffstetler, six daughters. Mrs Nina Davis of the home, Mrs Atrice Morris, Mrs Cecil Lowe, and Mrs Vivian Liles, all of Belmont, Mrs Hyacinth Shuler of Bryson City and Mrs John Taylor of Charlotte. One son Beecher W Huffstetler of Stanley. Three sisters Mrs Clevie Beach of Gastonia, Mrs Fannie Rash of Lincolnton and Mrs Thomas Mullen of Vale. Three brothers Purvie and Pete Huffstetler of Cramerton, and John Huffstetler of Cherryville. 19 grandchildren and two great grandchildren
