OWEN BELL
Owen Bell, one of the oldest residents of Ozark County, died very suddenly at his home south of Gentryville, early Monday morning. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Blanch, Mo., Mr. J. C. Harlin of Gainesville officiating. Burial was made in the Blanch cemetery under direction of the Clinking beard Funeral Home. Obituary will appear later.

OBITUARY
"Owen Bell was born Sept. 7, 1854, in Ozark County, Mo., and spent his entire life there. He passed away July 2, 1944, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Clara Riley, at the age of 90 years. In 1883 he was married to Miss Marguerite Gunter and to them four children were born. His wife and two daughters, Mrs. Jessie Tate and Ida Bell, preceded him in death.
Mr. Bell was a prominent farmer and cattle raiser of Ozark County. For many years he was a breeder of White Face cattle. He was a stock holder in the bank at Dora and also the bank at Rockbridge. Both of these banks are now liquidated. He also owned four or five farms.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ada Stout of Blanche and Mrs. Clara Riley of Drury, 17 grand children, 22 great grand children and a host of relatives and friends."
