Josiah brought his first family and a concubine (Jane Bell) to Ozark CO from Kentucky. Jane and Josiah had seven children. In 1854 he was married to Mary J. Sanders Moffis. They had five children (Emeline, Martha, Samantha, Matilda and Linnie.) When Josiah moved to MO, he wife (possible Sarah, sister of Jane Bell), was deceased. Josiah and his first wife had six children: Talitha, William, Arthur, Johnathan, Alvin and Rhody.
