Mrs. Christina Erickson Bench, 82, of 775 East Ninth South street, widow of William Bench died at her home Saturday at 3:23 p. m. of pneumonia.
Mrs. Bench was born in Gjattrup, Demark, October 10, 1856, a daughter of Christian and Bertha Marie Wester Erickson, and came to Utah with her mother in 1866. They settled in Sanpete county, where she resided most of her life. She has been active in L. D. S. Relief society work for many years.
Surviving are three sons, Henry Bench of Manti and Joseph L. and Clyde E. Bench of Salt Lake City; three daughters, Mrs. R. C. Reed and Mrs. C. W. Fisher of Los Angeles and Mrs. T. J. Carstensen of Salt Lake City; a brother, Christian Erickson of Evanston, Wyo., and 27 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 1 p. m. at 36 East Seventh South street. Burial will be in City cemetery.
