Mrs. Minnie Wiedmer Queen, 81, 625 East Missouri Avenue, died Saturday at a St. Joseph hospital. A native of Amazonia, she lived in St. Joseph 50 years and was at one time a garment inspector for a manufacturer here.
Mrs. Queen was a member of the Community Christian Church, the Woman of the Moose, the Rebekahs, the auxiliaries of the V.F.W. and the World War I Veterans, Royal Neighbors of America, Service Star Legion and the over 60 Club.
She is survived by her husband, William Queen;two daughters, Mrs Pauline Allen, Hurst, Texas, and Mrs. Alice Adams. Glendale, Cal.; two sons, Emerson Kretzer and Clarence Wiedmer, both of St. Joseph; six sisters, Mrs. Emma Morse, Savannah; Mrs. Fannie Steeby, Mrs Julia McMillian, Mrs Clara Kronegg, and Mrs.Flora Coats, all of St. Joseph; Mrs Mary Kenney, Oregon; three brothers Emil Dick, Savannah; John Dick, St. Joseph, and Edward Dick, Bolckow; seven grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Services will be tomorrow at 3 at the Heaton-Bowman Chapel, the Rev. Will Lane officiating.
Burial: Mount Auburn Cemetery.
