Funeral services for James C. (Jim) Sheppard will be held Monday October 12, 2009 at 2:00pm at Pilgrim's Home Baptist Church in Ivan. Officiating will be Rev. W. J. Johnson. Interment will follow at Rocky Mount Cemetery in Ivan. Family will receive friends from 9:30am till service time at the church.
Jim was born October 26, 1944 in Shreveport, raised in Cotton Valley and entered into rest October 9, 2009 in Metairie. He was a Captain in the United States Army, graduate of Northwestern State University, and an accountant for the Government Accounting Office.
He is survived by his brother G.C. Sheppard of Shreveport, aunt Maxine Chappell of Ivan nieces Rebecca Lynn Myrick and Sheryl Kaye Reeves of Nacogdoches, Texas.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Reeves, Fred Hagan, George Horst, Rick Chappell, Dana Hicks, and Daryl Walker.
