MISS JENNIE E. WHITAKER
Principal of Plainfield-Street School Dies at Suffield, Ct.
Miss Jennie E. Whitaker, 51, of 71 Euclid avenue, principal of the Plainfield-street school, died yesterday morning at the home of Mrs. Herbert Spear of Mapleton Avenue, Suffield, Ct. Miss Whitaker had been a resident of this city for about 10 years. At different times, she was principal of the Worthington-street school and the Strickland school of this city. Before coming here she was principal of the Mount Washington school at Everett for 23 years. Miss Whitaker also taught at West Springfield and Windsor, Ct. She leaves one uncle, George Turner of Becket, and one aunt, Mrs. Nell Cummings of Bloomfield, Ct., and several cousins. The funeral will be held at Graham's chapel tomorrow afternoon at 3:30. Burial will be in Springfield cemetery.
