Mary married Thomas Alston Sr., 26 December 1878, in the Endowment House, Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah.

"Funeral services for Mary E. Alston, 95, will be conducted Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. in the Lincoln Ward Chapel, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2005 S. 9th East, with Bishop Walter Trauffer of the Lincoln Ward officiating.

Friends may call Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at 124 4th East and at the ward chapel one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.

Mrs. Alston died Saturday morning in a hospital at Inglewood, Calif., of a cerebral hemorrhage."
