Here is William's obit. There are some errors in the obit. They listed him as Willis and that he was born April 2 instead of 24. They also have him as being buried in Owaneco Cemetery. His death date is correct and Amelia is listed as his wife so I am sure that it is for him.

Willis Montgomery, a pioneer resident of Christian County, and who was nearing 92 years, died Thursday night at 11:30 o'clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Sarah Hockersmith of Owaneco, northwest of Pana, of influenza and general debility. Mr. Montgomery's wife died of the same disease only one week ago.

Deceased was born in Maryland, April 2, 1829. He came to Illinois when a young man and had ever resided in this county. He was a retired farmer and was well known throughout central Illinois. He married Miss Amelia Ransom April 22, 1854. There were nine children born to this union, six of whom are deceased. The surviving children are Mrs. Sarah Hockermisth and Mrs. Nettie Schwab of Owaneco and Allen K. Montgomery of Regina, Sask., Canada.

The funeral service will be from the Hockersmith home at 1 o'clock Sunday afternoon and burial will be in the Owaneco Cemetery.
