A family memorial service will be held for Myra Aileen Geddes at a later date in Puyallup, Washington. Cremation arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home & Crematory. There will be no visitation or viewing.
She was born to Arthur and Lydia (Kobi) Burgess on February 2, 1912 in Tacoma, Washington, and died Tuesday, November 7, 2006, at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center in Enid, Oklahoma.
She grew up in Puyallup, Washington, graduating from high school there. On Feb. 1, She married Robert William Geddes, and they made their home in Puyallup. She was a homemaker and mother. Myra was a member of Fruitland Grange for over seventy years, and a member of the First Baptist Church in Puyallup. For the last nine years, she has lived with her granddaughter, Dennette and her family, traveling with them in their military assignments. The family moved to Enid in 2004.
She is survived by her daughter, Joan Alger of Yuma, Arizona; two grandchildren, Dennette Conroy and husband Ed of Enid, and Michelle Wiedman and husband Donald of Puyallup, WA; seven great-grandchildren, Lyndsey and Chris Claassen, Tyler, Megan and Jessica Atkins, Josh Moore, and Alexa Conroy; and one sister Ernie Storrs of Portland, OR.
Myra was preceded in death by her husband Robert, three brothers and one sister.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Hospice Circle of Love.
