Vera Lucy Brown was a very special grandmother. She was a public school teacher in Athol, Massachusetts, for many years. Although she attended the Unitarian Church, she was married to Dona Joseph Guilmette by Michael J. Curran, Priest, in the rectory of the Catholic Church in Athol, Massachusetts, on August 20, 1921. They had two children together. She became active in the American Legion Auxiliary and was involved in many hobbies. Among her hobbies, she engaged in china painting, crochet, knitting, sewing, and travel. Later in life, she became a snowbird, spending summers in Massachusetts and winters in Florida, where she died in 1985. Sometime after her death, her lineage was traced to William White and his wife Susanna through their son Resolved White, all three of whom were passengers on the Mayflower in 1620.
