George F. Ausdemore, age 89, of Crofton, Nebraska died Friday, October 9, 2009 at the Bloomfield Good Samaritan Center in Bloomfield, Nebraska.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 AM, on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Crofton with Reverend Michael Schmitz officiating. Burial will be at the St. Rose Cemetery in Crofton. Visitation is from 4:00 to 8:00 PM, on Monday, with a vigil service at 7:00 PM at the Wintz Funeral Home in Crofton. Visitation resumes one hour prior to the funeral at the church.
Pallbearers are Kenneth Ausdemore, Francis Ausdemore, Brian Kramer, Michael Kramer, Ryan Loecker and Nathan Loecker.
George was born on April 21, 1920 in Crofton, Nebraska to John and Mary Ann (Grovijohn) Ausdemore. He lived on the family farm, which his great grandparents homesteaded in the 1800's, until he moved into Crofton in 1991. George was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Constance, Nebraska and then St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. He enjoyed woodworking, golf and bowling.
George is survived by his sister, Catherine Bockholt of Crofton; a sister-in-law, Lorene Ausdemore of Crofton and many nieces and nephews.
George was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers: John, Otto, Arthur, Bernard and Paul Ausdemore.
