George was the son of Harriet Pegg and Benjamin Morlan. He had 6 siblings: Lillie, Rosa, Carrie, Nora, Charles & John. He married Ella Mae Ogden in Knoxville, Iowa on August 28, 1906. They had 11 children: Lorance, Aletha, Cecil, Lucille, George Max, Reva, Erma, Robert, Carolyne, Roger & Jean. He died from Cancer in 1954. He was a hired hand on farms, sold furniture and worked on the Rock Island Railroad. He lived and worked around Udell, Iowa. He was a member of the Church of the Brethren in Udell/Unionville, Iowa. He served in many capacities.
