Francis V. Humes, aged 75, died yesterday in his home, 314 Third street, Aspinwall. He was born in Tarentum, and went to Pittsburgh in his youth. He was employed by the Pennsylvania Railroad Lines West at the Fort Wayne station, Pittsburgh for 35 years. Mr. Humes was a member of the First United Presbyterian church. He leaves his widow, Elizabeth Hazlett Hunes; a daughter, Mrs. George H. Zoerb; seven sons, Edward J., Chas. B., Albert L., Frank O., Howard A., and William G., Humes of Pittsburgh, and Ralph G. of Natrona; a brother, William H. Humes of Duquesne; 17 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
He was a brother of the late F.N. Humes. Funeral services will be held Friday at 8 p.m. in the late residence, Third street, Aspinwall, Interment will occur in Prospect [cemetery].
