Korean War,
Romer Joe Morrow, 82 years of age, of Somerset, Kentucky, departed this life on Saturday, October 3rd, 2009 at his residence.
He was born in Wayne County, Kentucky on July 31st, 1927, son of the late James D. Morrow and Dora Ellen Gholson Morrow. He was a maintenance repairman for General Electric for over 30 years and a United States Korean War veteran. He was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed fishing and being outdoors.
He was survived by his wife, Virginia Morrow, whom he married on Christmas Eve, December 24th, 1965 in Clarksville, Indiana; one son, Ronnie Joe (and Randa) Morrow; one daughter, Connie Lynn (and David) Smith; one sister, Luda Black; four grandchildren, Troy Morrow, Rondi Morrow, Derrick Demaree, and Joyce Faye Demaree; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends who mourn his passing.
Preceding him in death were his parents; six brothers, Worner Morrow, James Goldie Morrow, Orville Morrow, Raymond Morrow, Hayden Morrow, and Lee Morrow; and four sisters, Clara Morrow, Rachel Morrow Jones, Hattie Morrow Jewell, and Nellie Morrow Leveridge.
Visitations were held on Monday, October 5th, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. with Bro Harlan Avera Jr. officiating.
Entombment followed in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens in Somerset, Kentucky.
