Martha Doty Elliott was the daughter of Israel and Mary Barnett Doty and the 2nd wife of Andrew H Elliott.
Martha and Andrew married in 1841 in Stark County Ohio and moved to Lagrange in 1843 with Andrew's mother Elizabeth.
They had 2 known daughters, Mary E Elliott Martin 1842 -1867 and Frances Elliott 1845-1848 who is also buried here.
Martha's brother, Lot Doty, married Andrew's sister, Nancy Elliott, and her brother, Zebulon Doty, married Andrew's sister, Frances Elliott.
Due to an easily made transcription error (1817 instead of 1847) on a hard to read broken stone, in a neglected cemetery, she has apparently been lost for many years.
