MONROVIA, Calif. -- Mrs. Gladys Lucille Golden Yancey, 82, of Monrovia died Monday, Sept. 20, 1999, in California.
Graveside services are scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 25 at 11:30 a.m. at the LaFayette City Cemetery with the Rev. Yancey Sanders officiating.
Mrs. Yancey is survived by her daughter, Claudia Lucille Thorp; her sister, Mamye Pope; and her grandson, Rusty Walz.
Born Nov. 21, 1916, in Alabama, Mrs. Yancey had worked at the Columbus Medical Center as a nurse's aide and later became head of the housing department. She was the regional director of the Housekeepers Association and was elected resident representative on the Facility Council of the nursing home where she resided.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10 until 11 a.m.
