Funeral Services will be held Friday for Amos Clyde (Pop) Golden, a retired textile worker.
Mr. Golden, Society Hill, Rt 2, Opelika, died Wednesday evening at Lee County Hospital. He was 68.
Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at Society Hill Baptist Church with the rev. George Huskey and the Rev. Joe Register officiating. Burial will be in the Society Hill Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church from 1 p.m. Friday until the funeral services.
Mr. Golden is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mollie Ozella Golden, Society Hill; one daughter, Mrs. John Sistrunk, Society Hill; two sons, Randall Golden, Opelika; Andy Golden, Dadeville; five sisters, Miss Edith Golden, Mrs. Beulah Dennis, Mrs. Gladys Yancey, all of Grand Bay, AL; Mrs. Nell Stewart, Lafayette; Mrs. Mamie Pope, Opelika; and 10 grandchildren. Corbitt's Funeral Home in Tuskegee is handling the arrangements.
