Mrs. Olive M. Jenkins, 62, wife of L. W. Jenkins, passed away at 5 o'clock, Wednesday evening, in the Clinton County hospital, Frankfort, where she had been a patient for almost three weeks. Complications arising from streptococcic poisoning was thought to have brought about her death. A snake serum and a blood transfusion were of no avail.
Mrs. Jenkins was born at Darlington, Ind., October 14, 1875, the daughter of Lewis and Ellen Worth, and was married in 1897 to Edward Cooley, who passed away in 1930. She was married to Mr. Jenkins on March 4, 1937.
She had spent most of her life in Clarks Hill, Dayton, and Mulberry, and was a member of the Clarks Hill M. E. church.
Surviving are the husband, a son, Lloyd Cooley, of Dayton, and four daughters, Mrs. Hazel Miller, Mrs. Ora Coyner, and Mrs. Harriett Roberts, all of Mulberry, and Mrs. Vella Dwiggins, of Bringhurst. A sister, Mrs. Evan Smith, of Dayton, and seventeen grandchildren also survive.
The funeral will be held at the residence in Mulberry at ten o'clock, Saturday morning. Rev. E. F. Prevo will officiate. Burial is to be in the Dayton cemetery.
