Funeral services for Elias Willard Williams, 82, were held Thursday at 11 A.M. in the Naples Ward Chapel, with Bishop Joseph Collier of Davis presiding. A double mixed quartet sang, "Oh, My Father". Prayer was offered by Bishop Jerry Harrison of Lapoint, followed by the mixed quartet. A special duet, "Softly and Tenderly Jesus is Calling" was sung by Mrs. Mae Jorgenson and Mae Calder. The speakers were President Archie Johnson and President Byron Goodrich. The closing song was "Abide with Me" by the quartet. Benediction was by Bishop Alfred Simper. Internment was in the Vernal Memorial Park with John T. Kay dedicating the grave. The pallbearers were Ted Williams, Glenn Williams, Alma Williams, Clifton Nickell, Lowell Duvall and Marvin Carroll. Honorary Pall bearers were Boyd, Perry, Jay and Frank Williams, and Dallas Nickell, all grandsons of Mr. Williams. Those attending from outside points were three daughters, Mrs. Virgil Burke from Idaho, Mrs. Elva Hall from Salt Lake City, Mrs. Lucy Duvall from Gusher, a son John Williams from Provo and a grandson Clive Williams from Provo Bench. His sons, Levi Williams from Delta, Colorado, and LeRoy Williams from Fruita, Colorado, were unable to attend.
