Mrs. Anna Verdier, wife of Howard Verdier, of Gettysburg, died at the Harrisburg Hospital Tuesday morning following an operation performed last Thursday. She was recovering when gangrene set in and caused her death at the age of 42 years, 4 month, and 4 days. Before marriage, Mrs. Verdier was Miss Anna Beamer. For eight years she was a trained nurse. She is survived by her husband; her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Beamer, of Gettysburg and two sisters, Mrs. J. W. Dietrick of Bendersville, and Mrs. Daniel Hockly of Mr. Holly Springs.
The body was taken to Bendersville and funeral services were held on Friday afternoon at the Methodist Episcopal church, Bendersville by Rev. J.A. Farrar, and interment was made at Bendersville.
