Funeral services for William Meeker will be held at the funeral home Thursday at 2 p.m. The Rev. Glenn of McMichael will be in charge of the services and burial will be in Oakland cemetery, Janesville.
William Meeker died at his home Monday morning. Death was attributed to paralysis and bronchial pneumonia. He had been in failing health for the past ten years.
A lifetime resident of Bremer county, he was married to Sadie Farris of Denver on March 1, 1897. Two sons were born to them, Dorr Meeker who died in 1943 and Paul of Pasadena, Calif. Two brothers preceded him in death. Surviving are his wife, six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, one brother Reuben Meeker; five sisters, Mrs. Harvey McCoy and Mrs. Will of Waterloo, Mrs. Zelma Acker of Denver, Mrs. Julia Mason, Albuquerque, N. M. and Mrs. Harry Alkey, Janesville.
